TERAPI KERJA PADA PASIEN GANGGUAN JIWA DI DESA PEKUTAN KECAMATAN BAYAN

Abstrak

Mental disorders are still a serious problem in the world today, the number of people suffering from mental disorders increases every year in various parts of the world. Occupational therapy is a directed medical therapy for both physical and mental patients that uses activity as a therapeutic medium to restore a person's function so they can work as independently as possible. Objective: Knowing the effect of occupational therapy on the behavior of mental disorder patients. Methods: In this community service, we carry out it using lecture and discussion methods. The population in this community service included 20 people who had mental disorders. Results: The average score of pre-intervention behavior was with 10 people (50%) answering correctly regarding the definition of mental disorders, while the average post-intervention score was with 20 people (100%) answering correctly regarding several symptoms and recurrence of mental disorders. The results of the analysis showed that there was an influence of occupational therapy on the behavior of mental disorder patients. Conclusion: There is an influence of occupational therapy on the behavior of mental disorder patients in Pekutan Village Bayan District, Purworejo Regency
